The original grave marker, covered in flowers, of 1430 Trooper (Tpr) Francis Henry Munns, 8th Australian Light Horse, of Leongatha, Vic. Tpr Munns enlisted on 15 October 1915 and embarked from Melbourne, Vic, aboard HMAT MacCorquodale on 13 November 1915. He died of influenza (broncho pneumonia) in Egypt on 24 October 1918 aged 36 years.
