Description
The original grave marker, covered in flowers, of 2463 Trooper (Tpr) James Judge Davies, 2nd Australian Light Horse Machine Gun Squadron, of Cooktown, Qld. Tpr Davies enlisted on 29 November 1915 and embarked from Sydney aboard HMAT Karroo on 5 May 1917. He died of pneumonia in Egypt on 22 October 1918 aged 25 years.
