The original grave marker, covered in flowers, of 24 Corporal (Cpl) William Albert Walker, 7th Australian Light Horse, of Braidwood, NSW. Cpl Walker enlisted on 12 October 1914 and embarked from Sydney aboard HMAT Ayrshire on 20 December 1914. He died of illness in Egypt on 17 October 1918 aged 23 years.
