Description
The original grave marker, covered in flowers, of 412 Trooper (Tpr) George Richard Gill, 6th Australian Light Horse, of West Maitland, NSW. Tpr Gill enlisted on 1 October 1914 and embarked from Sydney aboard HMAT Suevic on 21 December 1917. He died of heart failure from illness in Egypt on 19 September 1918 aged 29 years.
