Description
The original grave marker, covered in flowers, of 503 Lance Corporal (L Cpl) Henry John Edwards, 12th Australian Light Horse, of Tumbarumba, NSW. L Cpl Edwards enlisted on 30 January 1915 and embarked from Sydney aboard HMAT Vestalia on 22 June 1915. He died of osteo myelitis and exhaustion caused by an infection at the site of a previous injury, in Egypt on 23 May 1918 aged 23 years.
