The original grave marker, covered in flowers, of 1161A Trooper (Tpr) Frederick Francis Ford, 7th Australian Light Horse, of Glen Innes, NSW. Tpr Ford enlisted on 12 October 1915 and embarked from Sydney aboard SS Hawkes Bay on 21 October 1915. He died of wounds in Egypt on 23 November 1917 aged 28 years.
