Description

The original grave marker, covered in flowers, of 2826 Trooper (Tpr) Lawrence Jacob Smith, 9th Australian Light Horse, of Ynduapinnie Station via Port Augusta, SA. Tpr Smith enlisted on 16 February 1916 and embarked from Adelaide aboard HMAT Malwa on 27 July 1916. He died of malaria and dysentery in Egypt on 10 November 1918 aged 33 years.
