Description
Five unidentified members of the 1st Australian Infantry Brigade preparing their camp for the night. The bedding being carried by several soldiers was obtained from the shelled and deserted homesteads in the vicinity. The village of Borre is visible in the background. A few miles away, near Strazeele and Merris, the fighting was continuing. Note a wandering goat (left).
