Description

An outdoors group portrait of officers of the 9th and 10th Battalions who won decorations during the war. Identified is Lieutenant Colonel Maurice Wilder-Neligan, CMG DSO with Bar DCM, Commanding Officer of the 10th Battalion, (back row, centre). All other officers are unidentified. All the officers in the front row are wearing Military Cross (MC) ribbons. The captain (second from the right) is also wearing a Distinguished Service Order (DSO). In the back row two 2nd lieutenants (first and third from the left) and a lieutenant (second from the left) are wearing Military Medal ribbons, a lieutenant (back row, fourth from the left) is wearing a DSO with Bar ribbon and another lieutenant (third from the right) is probably wearing a DSO ribbon. All other officers in the back row are wearing MC ribbons.
