Buka. Members of the multinational Peace Monitoring Group (PMG) disembarking from Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Hercules A97-178 at Buka Airfield, Bougainville. They had just flown from Townsville, Australia and were about to take up peacekeeping duties. Note the yellow brassards embossed with a white dove that the group are wearing.
