Description
Studio portrait probably of 1550 Private (Pte) Patrick Joseph Molloy, 24th Battalion, of Gunbower, Vic (originally of Coolgreany, Wexford, Ireland). Pte Molloy enlisted on 3 April 1915 and embarked aboard HMAT Euripides on 10 May 915. On 8 June 1918 he was killed in action on 8 June 1918 near Amiens in the Somme area of France. On 12 June 1918 he was awarded a posthumous Military Medal (MM).
