Description
Studio portrait of 752 Private (Pte) Lawrence Berwick, 11th Australian Light Horse Regiment, of Jondaryan, Qld (left) and 1047 Pte David Edwin Wasley, 5th Australian Light Horse Regiment (right). Pte Berwick (originally from Shipley in England) enlisted on 30 December 1914 and later served with the 49th Battalion. He was killed in action on 2 April 1917 near Baupaume, France. Pte Wasley (originally of Wolverhampton, England) enlisted in Qld on 6 May 1915 and embarked on 12 June 1915 aboard HMAT Karoola. He was demobilised on 23 September 1919.
