Description
Studio portrait of 983 Private (Pte) William Burns Gow, 24th Battalion of Harrietville, Vic. Pte Gow enlisted on 6 March 1915 and was later commissioned to lieutenant. Lieutenant Gow received a Mention in Despatches (MID) on 28 May 1918 and a Military Cross (MC) on 1 February 1919. He returned to Australia on 10 May 1919.
