A few of many models collected by the Australian War Records Section. They were made by men in the field during their spare time, those represented here being: a donkey engine made from pieces of shell and parts of a crashed aeroplane; a tank made from shell cases and Serbian barrels used by units for killing vermin (e.g. nits from clothing).
