History / Summary

The Type 100 cup-type grenade discharger was used for projecting the Type 99 (1939) fragmentation grenade. The launcher was attached to the muzzle of the rifle and the grenade, with safety pin removed, was placed inside the cup. Standard ball ammunition was used for projecting the grenade, which had a range of 100 yards. The grenade time fuze was stared when the weapon was fired, detonating in approximately 4 to 5 seconds.
