Portrait painting of brothers 622 Private (Pte) Henry Barnett Watson, 1st Battalion of Trundle, NSW, (left) and 3050 Pte Charles Barnett Watson. 622 Pte Watson enlisted on 28 August 1914 was killed in action on 30 May 1915 on the Gallipoli Peninsula. His brother, 3050 Pte Watson, enlisted on 9 September 1916, leaving on the Afric on 3 November 1916 with the 7th Reinforcements, 57th Battalion and returning to Australia on 31 October 1917. This is a colour copy of the painting done incorporating the two brothers in uniform; the black and white version is held at P03570.001.
