Description

Australian Army Training Team Vietnam khaki cloth rank brassard. The brassard is made from a double thickness of jungle green cotton material, with a slit at the top for a shirt epaulette to pass through. An integral band of the same material is sewn to the reverse to act as a loop for securing it around the wearer's upper arm. The brassard features a Warrant Officer Class II embroidered rank crown, above which is the walking-out service dress version of the parachute qualification worn by members of the Special Air Service Regiment. Above this is a Japanese manufactured formation patch of the AATTV, which features a Boomerang embroidered with the unit designation, a Montagnard cross-bow, and a scroll emblazoned with the unit motto 'Perservere'. On the back of the brassard Simpson has printed and written his name in blue ink.
