Description
Studio portrait probably of 137 Private (Pte) Cyril Walter Malkin, 38th Battalion, of Underbool, Vic. Pte Malkin enlisted on 29 March 1916 and embarked aboard HMAT Runic on 20 June 1916. On 27 February 1917 he was killed in action at Armentieres in the Lys area of France.
