Description
Studio portrait possibly of 560 Private (Pte) George William Rushton, 24th Battalion, of Melbourne, Vic (originally of Ince Blundell, Lancashire, England). Pte Rushton enlisted on 22 April 1915 and embarked aboard HMAT Euripides on 8 May 1915. He was killed in action on 14 November 1915 at Lone Pine on the Gallipoli Peninsula.
