Description
Letters, service-related documents, POW postcards and related personal records of NX40490 Lieutenant George Frederick Arnold Nichols, who served with 2/18 Battalion and subsequently as a prisoner of war in Changi and on the Burma Thailand Railway. Post-war items relate to his newspaper work with the 'Inverell Times', community and charity work in Northern NSW, a major unit association re-union in 1995 and Nichols' funeral service.
