Description
Studio portrait of Private (Pte) John Pargeter Griffiths, 8th Reinforcements, 5th Battalion, of Kew, Vic, wearing the badge which denotes that he is a qualified signaller. Pte Griffiths enlisted on 7 April 1915 and embarked from Mebourne aboard SS Makarini on 15 September 1915. He later served as a sergeant and was killed in action on 25 July 1916 at Pozieres, France.
