Description
Studio portrait of 1729 Private (Pte) Henry George Heywood, 2nd Reinforcements, 23rd Battalion, of Narrung via Swan Hill, Vic. Pte Heywood enlisted on 21 May 1915 and embarked from Melbourne aboard HMAT Demosthenes on 16 July 1915. He died of wounds at Armentieres, France, on 19 June 1916.
