It's the Little Fuel Savings That Help Make the Big Guns Save Coal, Gas Electricity, Paraffin - Fuel for Battle
Description
British Second World War poster promoting fuel savings. With the cost of the war mounting as the years passed, the British Government promoted domestic saving to provide more support for front line action. Many of these 'savings' posters associate home activities with front line activities, underscoring the concept of 'total war'. This poster specifically promotes the saving of fuel such as coal, gas, electricity and paraffin - those fuels that it states are used in the production of 'big guns'.
