Turn that gas down!
Description
Depicts in monotone a gray saucepan with enormous black and white flames coming from the burner. British Second World War poster promoting fuel savings. With the cost of the war mounting as the years passed, the British Government promoted domestic saving to provide more support for front line action. Many of these 'savings' posters associate home activities with front line activities, underscoring the concept of 'total war'. This poster promotes gas savings in order to increase the production of ships.
