Description
Studio portrait of 1661 Private (Pte) John Thomas Crockford, 2nd Reinforcements, 22nd Battalion, of Benalla, Vic. Pte Crockford enlisted on 13 May 1915 and embarked from Melbourne aboard HMAT Demosthenes on 16 July 1915. He was killed in action on 29 July 1916 at Pozieres, France.
