Description
Second World War poster issued by the Soldiers' Sailors' and Airmen's Families Association promiting the role of their Family Welfare Officers to service personel. One of a number of designs, this iteration depicts the back of a soldier sitting with his gun across his lap, smoking a cigarette and looking out across the desert. The cigarette smoke encircles an image of a family house above him, with clothes hanging on the washing line and a smoking chimney.
