The fighting man's link with his home
Description
Second World War poster issued by the Soldiers' Sailors' and Airmen's Families Association promoting the role of their Family Welfare Officers to service personal. One of a number of designs, this iteration depicts the back of an airmen sitting, smoking a cigarette and looking out across an airfield. The cigarette smoke encircles an image of a family house above him, with clothes hanging on the washing line and a smoking chimney.
