Feeding the fighting men is a real victory job
Description
This Australian Second World War poster depicts a woman's face with her hair tied back in the manner of many homefront workers in the top left corner, and a soldier's face in the bottom right corner. Through the centre of the poster is the text "FEEDING THE / FIGHTING MEN / is a real variety job!" This poster aims at recruiting more women on the homefront, particularly in the production of food.
During the Second World War, one of the major roles that Australia played in the Allied war effort was providing food not just for the homefront, but also for Allied soldiers across the world.
