Description
This Australian Second World War poster was printed by the Commonwealth Coal Commission in 1944 to help promote the careful and sparing use of coal. The poster highlights numerous actions that many people would not necessarily associate with the use of coal, but are in fact very dependent upon it, such as the production of electricity. These tips include switching off appliances that are not in use; finding the least amount of steam required to boil water; keeping equipment in good order, and the limited use of hot water.
