Colour Sergeant Tomkins will speak here...
This British Second World War poster was a generic poster produced by the Minsitry of Information to be distributed to different locations where Colour Sergeant Tomkins was speaking.
Colour Sergeant Tomkins worked within the Gold Coast (East Africa) government in the interbellum period before joining the Royal West African Frontier Force.
During the Second World War, the Ministry of Information employed people such as Colour Sergeant Tomkins to give talks about other countries, cultures, and general war matters. Tomkins would speak specifically on the cooperation between colonial and Great British regiments. This poster would have been distributed to the venues that she presented in ahead of time and they would have filled in the relevant details to advertise the talks. The poster also includes a short biography.
