Back them up!
Description
British Second World War propaganda poster part of a campaign issued by the Ministry of Information early in the war to boost morale and strengthen public support for the war effort. The MOI commissioned a number of artists to paint scenes showing the might of the three armed forces to be issued under the slogan 'Back them up!'. This poster by Terence Cuneo (1907-1996) depicts British Soldiers manning a coastal artillery post looking out to sea. Another gun is visible in the background. The image takes up the majority of the poster with the title separate and positioned below, in blue. Both are set against a yellow background.
