Sir William McKell, the Governor-General of Australia, inspects the guard of honour opposite the Town Hall in George Street, Sydney, during a march by members of 78 Fighter Wing RAAF before their embarkation for garrison duties in Malta. Mr McKell later took the salute from the dais at the foot of the Town Hall steps.
