Idris. Corporal (Cpl) Gordon Linklater of Tully, Qld, services the camera gun in the nose of a 73 Squadron (RAF) Vampire aircraft. Cpl Linklater was a photographer with 78 Fighter Wing RAAF, which was taking part in gunnery exercises at an RAF base in Libya. While stationed in Malta for garrison duty, the Wing used various bases around the Mediterranean.
