Cameraman Bob Krasker (in shorts), who is working on the feature film The Malta Story, lets Flying Officer (FO) Les Reading of Cunderdin, WA, look through the sights of his movie camera. Born in Perth, WA, Krasker won an Oscar for his cinematography in the Orson Welles film The Third Man. Standing behind FO Reading are Leading Aircraftman Allan Duell of Dutton Park, Qld (left) and Sergeant Glen Stockham of Kilburn, SA, while various locals are in the background. The airmen are stationed in Malta for garrison duty with 78 Fighter Wing RAAF.
