Use Less Gas and Electricity and Save Coal and Transport too!
Description
During the Second World War, one of the resources in most demand was coal. Coal help to produce power, and was the main fuel source for the railways, with diesel-powered locomotives still in their infancy. In order to preserve coal for vital war industries, this poster promotes a reduction in the use of gas and electricity. As almost an afterthought, the phrase 'and transport too' is added to the end of the poster to emphasise that apect to saving coal. In the lower right corner a lone, filled, coal tender on tracks is depicted.
