Dig for Victory
Description
This poster was issued as part of the well known 'Dig for Victory' campaign which encouraged Britons to support the war effort by growing their own food. During the war competitions were held calling on the general public to submit ideas and artworks to be used in the promotion propaganda campaigns. This particular design, featuring a young child, was based on a winning design by Mary Tunbridge.
