Flight Lieutenant Geoff Thornton DFM, AFM of Mildura, Vic (left) has just landed in a Meteor aircraft on the airfield at the RAF base in Cyprus, where 78 Fighter Wing RAAF has finished five weeks of gunnery training. He is talking to Group Captain (Gp Capt) Bill Garing CBE, DFC of Corryong, Vic, who was attached to the Wing during his holidays. Gp Capt Garing completed all the flying carried out by the Wing pilots as well as an instrument training course.
