60 cigarette cartons: 1 mortar bomb container...
Description
This poster is one of a campaign urging British citizens not to waste paper. It informs the viewer that the cardboard from cigarette cartons is needed to make boxes for Mortar Bombs. The inclusion of an image of soldiers using Mortars Bombs, conveys a sense of urgency, visually connecting paper conservation on the Home Front to the actions of the Army on the frontline in Europe.
