Description
Studio portrait of 1749 Private (Pte) Sidney Watkins Madigan, 2nd Reinforcements, 23rd Battalion, of Chewton, Vic. Pte Madigan enlisted on 15 May 1915 and embarked from Melbourne aboard HMAT Demosthenes on 16 July 1915. He was killed in action on 9 October 1917 at Passchendaele in Belgium.
