Description
Studio portrait of 2698 Private (Pte) Thomas James Young, 8th Reinforcements, 6th Battalion, of Charlton, Vic. Pte Young enlisted on 30 January 1915 and embarked from Melbourne aboard HMAT Anchises on 26 August 1915. He was killed in action on 29 July 1918 near Morlancourt, France, while serving with the 5th Machine Gun Battalion.
