The Honorable Miss Mabel Strickland chats with Flight Lieutenant John Britten, RAAF representative in the Australian Coronation Contingent, at the Anzac Day service in Malta. Miss Strickland, daughter of the late Lord Strickland (who was at various times Governor of Malta, New South Wales, Tasmania and Western Australia) is the proprietor of the Times of Malta. She is also one of the main organisers of the event each year. 78 Fighter Wing RAAF also helped organise the service while stationed on the island.
