Leading Aircraftman (LAC) Clifford Coulson of Coburg, Vic on the day before his wedding with his bride to be, Miss Janet Pritchard of Norwich. LAC Coulson went to England with a detachment from 78 Fighter Wing RAAF, which was taking part in Coronation celebrations. In 12 days he met, courted and married Miss Pritchard, to whom he had been writing for nearly a year. As a result he became known in the press at home and in England as 'the jet propelled Romeo'.
