Leading a Battle of Britain Parade, the Royal Air Force band passes the saluting dais outside the Governor's Palace in the Maltese capital, while the Governor of Malta, Sir Gerald Hallen Creasy, takes the salute. The marchers included 78 Fighter Wing RAAF, which was stationed in Malta for garrison duty.
