Description
An AIF band leading the procession from King's Cross Station, in connection with the welcome to Mr H G Hawker and Commander Grieve. An enormous crowd assembled to greet them after their daring attempt to fly the Atlantic and their timely rescue in mid-ocean, after all hopes of their safety had been abandoned.
