Description
Issued by the Office of War Information this emotive design, featuring a tattered US Flag flying amidst smoke from the burning Naval Base, was one of the first posters released to galvanize Americans in support of the war following the attack by the Japanese on Pearl Harbour on 7th December 1942. The quote in the upper centre of the image is taken from Lincoln's Gettsyburg Address.
