Two members of 78 Fighter Wing RAAF show a pair of Maltese children how to pull a Christmas cracker during a Christmas party at the Wing's base in Malta. The Wing, which was stationed on the island for garrison duty, entertained about 100 local orphans and poor children at the party. Identified left to right: Flight Lieutenant Rod Hanstein of Melbourne, Vic, and Corporal Alan Thompson of Glenbrook, NSW.
