Flight Lieutenant Jack Cannon of Brighton, Vic, debriefs pilots Flying Officer (FO) Brian Nicolls DFM of Goulburn, NSW and FO Robert 'Stormy' Fairweather of Fitzroy, Vic, after a sortie during NATO Exercise Shield One. The three were members of 78 Fighter Wing RAAF, which was stationed in Malta for garrison duty. In the NATO exercise the Wing and 14 Squadron RNZAF defended Malta against intruders from the US 6th Fleet and RAF bombers.
