Flying Officer (FO) John Myers DFM of Randwick, NSW (seated on the nose of the aircraft) watches unidentified armourers loading his aircraft for a desert gunnery sweep. FO Myers was part of a detachment from 78 Fighter Wing RAAF that spent three weeks at an RAF base in Libya while completing an armament and Army cooperation exercise. The Wing was stationed in Malta for garrison duty.
