Description
Damaged 9 Squadron RAAF Bell UH Iroquois number helicopter number A2-110 resting on coastal mudflats after making an emergency landing. The officer with his back to camera is Squadron Leader K J Taylor MBE RAAF. The other Australian personnel are unidentified. The rescue team worked all night to return the aircraft to base. Note the towing sling ropes leading forward from the skids and the kangaroo silhouette painted on the nose.
