Description

Under wing view of the side mounted armament of a USAF Fairchild C-119 Flying Boxcar gunship. Shown at an unknown airfield, Boxcar gunships were nicknamed Shadow and later Stinger and by flying in a tight circular pattern over a ground target could pour a large volume of highly accurate fire on to enemy troops and transport below. The upper row of the port side mounted battery comprises four 7.62mm six-barrelled Miniguns and below them are two 20mm M61A1 six-barrelled cannon.
